Services

We’re here for all stages of your pet’s life.

We’re a full-service veterinary hospital in Reno, NV.

We’re here for all stages of your pet’s life. From their first visit to their golden years, the team at Aspen Animal Wellness is here to be your partner in their health. We’ll be here to provide care for your pet and education for you to take excellent care of them at home.

Wellness Care

At Aspen Animal Wellness, we believe that regular check-ups are the best way to help your pet live a healthy, happy life. From puppies and kittens to our seniors and geriatrics, these wellness exams allow us to identify potential problems early and also give us a baseline for your pet’s unique characteristics. Annual blood work, parasite screenings, prevention, and routine oral care are great ways to ensure your pets live their best lives! Your pet will receive immunizations tailored to their lifestyle according to the American Animal Association (AAHA) Canine Guidelines and the American Association of Feline Practitioner’s (AAFP) Guidelines, including non-adjuvanted vaccines for cats.

Low-Stress Handling

While we love welcoming pets to our clinic, sometimes our pets don’t always feel the same way. We pride ourselves in using a variety of positive methods to help make your pet’s trip to Aspen Animal Wellness as comfortable as possible.

Dermatology

Skin problems are one of the most common affecting our pets. We know managing these issue can be frustrating, but the doctors at Aspen Animal Wellness enjoy working through these cases and creating plans that give your pet (and you) relief!

Health Certificates

The doctors at Aspen Animal Wellness are experienced in navigating both domestic and international health certificates. Many countries have different requirements for cats and dogs to cross their borders. If you plan to travel with your pet, we would be happy to provide consultation to help ensure the journey with your furry friend is as smooth as possible.

Dentistry

Oral health is vital to your pet’s well-being. The majority of dogs and cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease which can affect their overall health and lead to issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys. There are many ways to improve your pet’s dental health, including home brushing, dental chews, and regular inspection. An oral exam is part of the examination of any pet at Aspen Animal Wellness and allows us to work together to come up with a plan to maximize your pet’s oral health. Professional cleanings are the most effective way to protect your pet from dental disease. We perform thorough cleanings, including the area beneath the gums that you can’t see or access at home, and also provide a digital dental X-ray to assess those areas beneath the gum line that can be a source of infection and discomfort.

Advanced Medicine

Just like people, our pets can be affected by a wide variety of medical conditions, some of which require advanced diagnostics and long-term or even lifelong management. Our doctors pride themselves in providing thorough, comprehensive examinations and are able to use our array of available laboratory tests and advanced imaging, including digital X-ray and ultrasound, to provide the best possible care for your pet.

Urgent Care

Life isn’t always predictable! Please don’t hesitate to call if an urgent or unexpected issue arises with your pet.

Nutrition

We are what we eat! Feeding a high-quality diet is one of the primary ways we can ensure our pets are on the road to wellness. Aspen Animal Wellness is happy to work with you to find a complete and balanced diet that is right for your individual pet. We also provide prescription diets which are a cornerstone of treatment in some medical conditions.

Surgery

We offer general soft tissue surgery and are proud to offer more advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgery performed by Dr. Dean Morgan, DVM, DACVS. Our surgical suite is equipped with the highest quality instruments and patient monitoring devices. We will communicate with you before, during, and after your pet’s surgery. Our goal is to make the entire process go smoothly and to eliminate the stress of surgical procedures. Your pet will be in good hands if surgery is needed.
