We are not a 24-hour facility. For 24-hour care, please call Animal Emergency and Specialty Center or Sierra Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center.

Required Vaccinations: To ensure the protection of all animals under our care and to prevent the spread of infectious disease, all grooming patients must have current written proof of required vaccinations by a licensed veterinarian. Dogs: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella Cats: Rabies, FVRCP (feline distemper combo) **Proof of vaccination is required prior to the grooming appointment** *

Aspen Animal Wellness Veterinary Clinic agrees to: (a) Exercise reasonable care, to keep kennel premises sanitary and properly enclosed, to provide access to water and to house pets in clean safe quarters. (b) Notify the owner if the animal becomes ill or overly stressed. If the owner or designated agent is not able to be reached, the veterinarian on duty will begin any necessary treatment that he/she deems to be in the pet’s best interest. (c) Notify the owner of any additional costs associated with that day’s grooming. (d) Do everything in our power to make the grooming process as stress-free as possible. Aspen Animal Wellness Veterinary Clinic believes in following fear free and low stress guidelines for the management of our patients. If your pet becomes overly stressed during a grooming appointment we will discuss with you methods of creating a happier experience for your pet. These methods may include the use of anti-anxiety medications that would need to be prescribed by your regular veterinarian. (e) Note: On rare occasions due to stress and/or behavioral problems the fees for grooming will be adjusted in accordance with your pet’s and the groomer’s needs for a safe outcome to the grooming appointment. *

Owner agrees to: (a) Make Aspen Animal Wellness Veterinary Clinic aware of any special needs, medical conditions or recent illness/injuries not listed in the pet’s medical history. (b) Promptly pay all expenses for any additional veterinary services required by the pet as outlined above. (c) Promptly pay any special handling fees added for behavioral issues, de-matting, special products or extensive breed specific styling. (d) Represent that he/she is the legal owner of the pet and list any other persons that are authorized to pick up and make payments on your behalf. *

Limitation of Liability: Aspen Animal Wellness Veterinary Clinic can not guarantee the health of any animal. By signing below I agree to hold Aspen Animal Veterinary Clinic harmless for conditions that often are unavoidable in grooming environments. These conditions include but are not limited to: kennel cough, upper respiratory infections, diarrhea, vomiting, intestinal parasites, other stress related illnesses or accidental injury to your pet because of grooming procedure. *

Cancellation policy: Cancellations require a 24 hour notice. *

No show policy: If you miss more than 2 grooming appointments without cancellation you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit on your next grooming appointment. This deposit will be equivalent to a routine bathing appointment for your patient’s size and haircoat. Deposits will be credited to your balance when your pet is brought in for it’s grooming appointment. *
